Formulation Troubleshooting & Optimisation

Identify the Cause Before Changing the Formula

Troubleshooting & Optimisation.png

Repeatedly adding salt, thickener, surfactant, solubiliser or perfume can conceal the real problem and create a second failure.

Effective troubleshooting begins by separating raw-material, formulation, process, measurement and storage variables.

Problems That Can Be Investigated

• Viscosity drop during storage
• Unexpected thinning or delayed thickening
• Over-structured or spoon-gel rheology
• Batch-to-batch inconsistency
• Phase separation, haze or clarity loss
• Perfume-induced instability
• Poor foam or cleaning performance
• pH-related viscosity change
• High cost without proportional performance
• Laboratory-to-production scale-up failure

Technical Review May Examine

• Formula percentages and 100% total
• Raw-material grade, concentration and active basis
• Surfactant ratios and electrolyte response
• Water quality, pH and neutralisation
• Addition sequence, mixing speed, time and temperature
• Perfume, colour, preservative and minor-additive compatibility
• Batch records, photographs, videos and retained samples
• Packaging and storage conditions

Service Levels

Diagnostic Consultation

A 30-minute focused discussion to identify likely causes and define the next technical direction.

Fee: ₹5,000.

Structured Troubleshooting Project

For problems requiring formula review, controlled trials, reformulation, documentation or follow-up. A separate technical scope and commercial proposal will be issued.

A consultation cannot establish long-term stability, commercial-scale reproducibility or regulatory compliance unless the relevant work and evidence are included in the project.
